Recent Projects: The Who Posters

Original Who Posters from the Sixties

The restoration of posters and particularly the restoration of rock and pop posters is a growing market. By their nature these objects are coming of age and of value. These three posters were acquired by the client from Eel Pie Studios commemorating The Who concerts put on by Bill Graham in San Francisco in 1968-1973.  Designed by David Singer  and printed by Tea Lautrec Litho these are good quality (promo) prints and highly sought after. They were suffering from severe cockling due to damp ingress and had been inappropriately framed  against hardboard which over time would turn the posters brown. After humidifying and pressing, in the clients own words "they look brand new." The client was also given advice on conservation standard framing. He later contacted us to say how splendid they looked framed and hanging in his study.
